The Yarn: One skein of Colinette Jitterbug.
The Needles: Knitted both socks at once on two 2mm Addi Turbo circular needles.
The Construction: Followed numbers for large size, knitting at 9 stitches per inch to result in "medium" socks. Used Judy's Magic Cast-on and Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off. Up until now I've knitted my socks top down because I'm very good at casting on loosely and none of the usually recommended stretchy bind-offs have ever worked for me ... Jeny has certainly changed that! ☺ And I must say that, much as I love the fit of the heel I use for my top-down socks (another Wendy Johnson design), this one is even better! ... like a second skin. And, bonus features for ease of turning: no short rows, no picking up stitches.
